Lol for real. You're totally 100% wrong there. They were recorded properly. They were recorded the way things were recorded back then.

Sure wish you hadn't been so negative. Rockabilly is supposed to be fun and your comments to date kind of put a negative on the listen.

No I'm not. I wasnt seeking clicks, precious. If I was, I would have doled out 11 songs over 11 different posts here, instead of the whole album on one thread...please make me stop explaining EVERYTHING to you....

So honestly, what was the point of this thread? Are you going to revisit the mixes? Or did you just want to show everyone your rockabilly covers? If it's the former, you're in the right place. Remixing would be a good idea in my opinion. If it's the latter, you should have put it in the marketing section and none of this would have happened.

That's not a matter of opinion. It's simple undeniable fact. Those guys recorded those songs the way songs were recorded at that time. Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran didn't have massive multitracking capabilities and a pile of plug-ins. They didn't have mics on the tops and bottoms of every drum. They didn't have mastering gear to squash their songs into oblivion. Most of those songs are not even in stereo. Their songs were recorded properly in the way things were done back then. To say it's wrong is not a matter of your opinion, it's simply a matter of you being clueless and ignorant.

I certainly wont revisit the mixes based on one opinion, especially when I disagree. You cursory glance, not withstanding...The point of this thread was to get a wide variety of opinion on the mixes. Getting clicks doe not benefit me whatsoever. The songs are not for sale, the band isn't gigging...I could get 100,000 hits today, and not benefit at all. The point was to get opinions from people who record in a spare bedroom as I do. Simple as that. You prescribed ulterior motive to me in the first page, without knowing me on my purpose. If you kept your wise ass remarks out of it, this would have never happened. Speaking of marketing...it's not me pimping my record in my signature...hipocrite.

Nat King Cole and Elvis Presley recorded in the same era, and their records sound GREAT. Your opinion is fact, precious...really??? awwwwww...how old are you???

I have two records in my sig. Original material. I sell my albums and all of the money, every penny, goes to children's charities. I know, I'm fucking horrible. It's not as clever as the hilarious irony of your sig, but fuck it.

So how many atta-boys do you need before you're satisfied? Or, how many comments do you need before you scrap the whole thing and do it better? I'm just curious. I get the feeling, and I'm usually right about these things, that you just want to be told it's great and fight back at anyone that says otherwise. I only say that because in my 18,000 posts, I've seen your kind a million times. You're not unique in that regard. My comments on the first page, again, were just reposting your own sig line because it's funny and appropriate and then quoting the movie caddyshack. The rest was you being an idiot, and here we are.

Old Elvis records don't sound really any different then old Eddie Cochran records. Do you even listen to that kind of music, or did you just raid some internet top-10 "rockabilly" list and go from there? So yeah, my opinion is my opinion, but fact is fact. Those guys recorded the way records were done back then. You're not doing it better, you're just doing it modern. That's fact.

Genuine question with no hidden agenda: Do you write anything original? Do you have any original rockabilly material? That would be, in my opinion, a better use of your blend of old with modern. With nothing to compare it to, your originals can be as modern as you want with an old-school flavor.

Is this the advice you give around here? You said Nat King Cole and Elvis records sound the same as Eddie Cochran records. How can I respect your opinion now???? Seriously?
