Yes, please re-post. I would like to hear now as well.

I wanted to hear it at first, I just wasn't in a position to listen at that time. Then he almost basically begged for replies, and I thought his sig line was humorously appropriate, and the timing of this thread with Ray's thread commenting on all the "listen to my album" threads in here was a virtual lining up of planets for awesomeness.

Lol. Please explain, as I'm just a moron. How is reposting your sig line rude? Does it not apply?

Of course it doesnt apply, Jesus. Perhaps you have >18000 posts because people have to explain every little thing...yeeeshhh

Respect to the moderator for not deleting the thread. (so far..) I'm impressed at the free flow of information, at least...

Show me where I beg for replies, precious.

Now that's actually funny!!
Here you go... have a ball.

Aw man, it's just covers. And not even interesting covers. :(

Having said that, I don't know what part you played in any of that, but after cruising through a few of them, it sounds mostly pretty authentic, although very bright and modern sounding. I'd personally prefer it with more raunch and less polish and/or sterility. Good performances though. Race with the Devil was pretty nice.

House of the rising sun = seemed the drums were a little too forward. Snare sounded trashy (in a good way).

Listened to the first three tracks to provide quick feed back. Seems like your drums are much louder (over bearing might be a better word) than vocals. Sounded good, just vocals seemed to be pushed back.

Might be what you were going for, but that would be my comments.

Sure wish you hadn't been so negative. Rockabilly is supposed to be fun and your comments to date kind of put a negative on the listen.

In any case, you'll now maybe get the clicks and page hits that you so desperately seek. Congrats!

Two schools of thought on that..I just personally like rockabilly rough but modern. I'm the producer, engineer and guitarist.

Well IMO you missed the rough but nailed the modern. The production is very hot and slick and contemporary, so if that's what you're going for, you did it.

It's actually pretty good. I agree with the post above on the drums, though. They're kind of all over the place - the performance is fine, but they're right in your face, except the snare sounds like it's on the opposite side of the room from me.

You should get Greg to remix it for you :p.

Of course it did. That's begging??? Seriously???

I did say "almost basically begging". Don't gloss over those clarifying words. So no, it's not literal begging, but you were really wanting someone to comment. Now you have a multi page thread full of comments. Success!

Thanks for the honest reply...the mixes sound very different on headphones or speakers depending on the volume you listen at. I don't know which you used... Slapback echos die in headphones, so mix volumes are very different on speakers with no soundstage in headphones...

Don't hide behind words...precious.

That's what I was going for... a modern version of some GREAT songs that were not recorded properly in their time.
