That's your opinion. My experience with Neumann products have time and again proven otherwise. ok...so whats the point??yep. thats my opinion..whats to argue? good for you,

I dont care, but I do like talking. I honestly , really, sincerely dont care one bit about your opinions of neumann nor any other products, and will have forgotten this whole thing in a couple hours.. fact of the matter is, my ears are on my head, so who cares what you think? I dont. if they work for you, great! Bravo! Life is great!. ..again..whats the point..what are you trying to illustrate???that what I was saying was an opinion??That was obvious, was it not??

Your arrogant tone , combined with the word "rubbish" sounds like it fits the bill to me. Now, I can be twice as cocky and mean as a snake, so no feelings hurt..but you DO sound arrogant and appear to have replied to my statement for absolutely no reason,but to argue.. and you have proven nothing, except that what I was saying was an opinion....which , yeah,...it was an opinion...all day long.

---what does that have to do with anything???and furthermore, who cares what they produce???Did I say that MG was more commercially successful than Neumann??hardly. Does amount of units sold mean quality always??
I said TO ME MG products are better, better quality control , better sounding(well, ok the OLD neumann stuff and the u87s/u89s that have been modified to hell and back sound great), better customer service( I live close to both of them, and have used their products many many many times. I pretty much have used all of MGs mics that are in production as well as most of the neumann line. ) so, in spite of your rattling off names that are snapped up by the commercial masses...I know in my mind that MG products are better to my ear, and eye and mind...and really, thats all that matters. No amount of documentation or posting from you or anyone else will change that. I have used them both a great deal, and like MG much much better, that is that.. Have since I first heard them. If Neumann would reissue the old designs they would really have something..but they are more concerned with a price point and moving units...(and your commercial sucess examples illustrate that)so really man...whats the point??you like neumann, I dont. I think MG is better. So what. big deal. life goes on. that is that. c'est la vie.
In the end, it doesnt matter. We are all here to talk about recording. We all have something to learn from each other, from the oldest member to the newest. Some people like this, some people like that...whatever works...thats what I think. Take care man, no harm no foul
