MR8- monitoring input while playback

Hi All,

I'm new here and haven't seen this covered.

Anyone know how to playback a previously recorded track and monitor the input on a new track without recording? (Basically reheasal mode)

This is driving me nuts. As far as I can tell I always have to record a new track, then erase the new track and then delete unused.

ANy help is appreciated

Activate a new track, set the fader to zero, push the record button, and THEN hit play....don't do these two things at the same time or it WILL record. I sometimes forget about the fader and it makes me think the machine is broken.... DUUHH!
