MR-8 locate points

Is there a way to "fine tune" the locate points on the MR-8? I've found that I have to FF/REW to get close, and when I save a point it "rounds off" to the nearest beat (using bars/beats). I like that it snaps to the nearest beat, but sometimes it's tough to catch the right spot - what I'm looking for is a way "move" the locate point a beat at a time, for example.

Did I miss something in the manual, or am I doing it right?

Thanks

I scoured the manual for that too....nope, not that I could find anyway.

Yea I want to know how to do this too. On my Zoom MRS4 i used to have, you could move the minutes, seconds, or miliseconds up or down. So you could move through a song a milisecond at a time. Plus it had i think 50 marker points. These are the only things I liked better about the MRS4 over the MR8.

Would be nice if there was an answer, but I'm glad I'm not crazy!

In my case it's fine snapping to the nearest beat, but with minutes/seconds/miiliseconds this could be a real problem. Time for another email to Fostex? (I'm still waiting on a reply to my last one regarding the 'file error' and plans for future upgrades).

I actually haven't heard squat since blasting them for using customers as "beta testers"...

I think I may have found a clue to the "buzzing" that occurs in the right earpiece. It may have something to do with how full the card is. I realize that isn't all there is to it, but, twice now, it seemed to be a part of the problem.
