I have an iMac, and I wanted to know what other types of software I could use besides Pro Tools. Not to "diss" it or anything, but I find it very hard to use, especially in 0S 9, after inserting my SmartMedia card and trying to edit the .wav file. I am lookinf gor something a little simpler that works well with Macs. I wish there was an easy way to correlate the .wav files I get with the MR-8 Smart Media Card, that I could just open up in the software. Cubase? Logic? Any ideas of what I could use? I am willing to purchase the software, of course, so I won't have to deal with the Pro Tools free version again. Fruity Loops, now that was an easy-to-deal-with PC Music Program.

So, basically you can just hook up USB to the Mac and it will work? My Card Reader seems to be working though. It shows up on my Desktop and voila, I click open the folder and there are the .wav file/s. Is Cubase simple to use? How do you open up the .wav files that you want to edit with Cubase? WHat version do you have again? And what is this about, on playback its sent back out to the mixer? Do you mean that on playback it is sent out ot an external hardware mixer? What do you mean by on playback, and what is the point of sending out back to an external mixer? I could see this route: Recorder->Mixer->Computer for Mastering, but Recorder->Computer for Mixing->External Mixer?? How would htat set up work, and why would it be beneficial? Also, is the Mass Storage by Apple a good thing to download, even if the Card Reader seems to be working properly? Thanks for all the comments.
