More links to manufacturers?

With so many different equipment being discussed here on the forum it would be a nice idea to have a sort of ”equipment manufacturer page” with links to the various manufacturers.

An other idea would be the good practice to put links behind a product name if you start up a new forum. Or at least mention the full manufactures name.

At this moment it seems like every new tread starts like this:

“What do you think about the ATC 5SC”. (And not everybody knows that its about the fifth shitty compressor from Audio Trash Corporation).

It would take about 5 seconds to go to this link: www.yahoo.com and/or this one: www.google.com . . .

Enter search term: "ATC 5SC," and find :

*Search results indicating that it's the "Audio Trash Corporation 5SC,"

*Link to the Audio Trash Corporation's web site.

* Reviews of the 5SC from Crap-on-Crap Magazine, August '97

* And even a link to Musician's Advocate, where you can perhaps buy it . . . if anyone happens to be in to answer the phone or return your message.

You can even save time by highlighting "ATC 5SC" Right-clicking, and then selecting copy. You can then paste this in to your chosen search engine, saving you yet another 2 seconds' time.

It's kinda' like magic.

You can then come back to the thread, and reply with your research findings, making yourself look really smart and, uh, not lazy.
