Can anyone suggest a good set of monitor speakers! I dont want cheap cheap stuff! nor expensive expensive stuff lol something in the middle now where is the middle?

you need to go to a music store armed with some CDs and see what you think sounds best...you'll only get people saying what theyve got and not necessarily what you'd prefer
when I bought new monitors I tried just about everything under $500..and couldnt tell that much difference within the same speaker sizes...though my ears produce enough wax to make jaffa cakes for a year so that doesnt help

ive got the 8's...good representation of the bass but need to be driven quite hard to get the best out of them
Im not sure about 5's, I just think that you're losing too much bottom end with a woofer that size
