monitor one "MK 2" by Alesis?

Has anybody read any reviews or actually demoed in person the new Alesis Monitor One mark 2's? I've had a pair of yorkville ysm-1's on order for a few months (the place I'm getting them from is having some supply problems) - but it's not too late to change my mind if these new alesis' can compete. I'd have to get a shielding kit for the ysm-1's, so the price wouldn't be more than $20 difference.

I personally don't care for the Alesis monitors in general (from the ones I HAVE heard), but I can't talk specifically about the new ones. I have heard and DO LIKE the Yorkvilles - they are very good.

whats up with "supply problems"? did you already give them the money? Because a guy here got them (YSM-1's) from the factory in 4 days for me. They were in last Thursday. Yorkville doesn't have any problems getting stuff out. Check out Shockwave Audio if you can't get better info. They'll get them and ship them out all in under a week. The YSM-1's are great so far.

I bought a pair of Alesis 1 monitors; they are luke warm speakers. I know Alesis makes some good stuff; however, I don't believe they make good monitors.

I'd go to another type if I were you. If I wanted to sell my Alesis monitors, I think I might get 22 pezzutos for them if I was lucky.

Try to hear the set you buy if possible or have an iron clad return policy, minus, of course, the re-stocking fee.
