Modded my Monterey X

Hi,
Just been to my usual guitar shop, he got me a black Gibson pick guard (he gave it to me for free) to fit on my Fernandes Monterey X. We also fitted some black Gibson speed knobs. The knobs aren't a perfect fit, he said the old ones were countersunk? To get them to fit well will I need to buy new pots?

EDIT: What pickups do you guys reccomend for it? I'm looking for bright jazzy tones, i prefer seymour duncans, but I dont mind other brands.
