Has there been a previous thread that dealt with noobies (including myself) who are having difficulty getting started? IOW, what about a thread that facilitated a mixing workshop?
It would start by someone posting a raw bass track (or portion of). Then everyone gives input..gets pre-mixed by the person who posted the bass track. Then the raw drum track gets added...everyone gives input...gets pre-mixed. Then the raw guitar track gets added...yada yada yada...you get the idea.
In the end, there is a thread reference that can be used as a before-after comparison for those who do not know what to listen for when in the mixing phase. It think it would be both fun and very informative.
btw - I have some tracks that can use this type of guidance.
