Than i missed the rant or the point. Sorry :)
No apology needed mon ami! This thread about adding a mixer to an AI has come up several times over the years and I give my 2penn'oth about the advantage of the pan control. Immediately this is countered on all quarters with suggestions of how to do it in a DAW.
***ck Yes! But you don't NEED to if you have a mixer (subject of the thread afterall?) If you DON'T have a mixer, why are you here?

I am NOT suggesting BTW that folks should rush out and buy a Berry X 2202 for just that facility!

Dave.

Ah i saw it as a question from someone who didn't know how to do it (not you).

For me a console just makes sense while in the box it all is great to setup but in the Final mixing stages i want it under my fingers. And maybe add some extra delay or sweeps. The mix for me is also a creative process.

It's funny that a lot of people that have worked with consoles use their daw completely different than people that did not.

Don't know what you mean with your answer?
If you want a Mono mix you have to insert the Stereo Gain plugin and switch it to mono - nd if you have phase problems you can
check them by switching the Phase buttons.

Do make sure to use the sends after fader otherwise you'll always hear the instruments coming through and you can't control the blend correctly.
I’ve never done otherwise - I don’t even know how to bypass the faders - I’m working in the box with Logic - maybe you are talking about sending your X32 into Logic?

@Papanate
I thought you meant you could not feed it a mono signal. I misunderstood because that's just a simple track setting without the need for a plugin.

I'm routing the busses in logic to my x32 indeed.
