I notice my cheapo Ensonq AudioPCIcard has mic input sensitivity of 10-200 mVpp. Does this mean it might be OK to use it for my old AKGD1000. (I have a low-to-high transformer on it.)
Test recordings of my acoustic thru the mic input aren't distorted although the levels could be a little higher even with the 'microphone boost' on the soundcard enabled.
I was told that in a pinch you can use a cassette deck as a mic preamp. Ever heard of that anybody?
