has anyone tried this DI box how does it compare with the other boxes I was just interested because Im looking into the Delta44 card (just cuz it comes with a slick breakout box (among other things))
It should beef up my Fender P-Bass Lite (active) right? not to mention vocals and guitar? anyway.......

I've had it . . . sold it. It was quiet and worked fine but only had 9V phantom power. For about $10 more ( $100 ) get the Art Tube MP. It has 48V phantom power, which will support large condensor mics and do a better job should you ever want to add vocals.
This is my opinion for what it's worth.

how many inputs does it have?
do either have xlr inputs or do u have to convert ot 1/4"?

PS- I might be wrong about the AudioBuddy supplying only 9V for phantom, but I never read anything about 48V in the literature.
