My situation is that I have a drum soundfont I'm using and am tapping out the drum patterns via a midi keyboard. The problem is that my keyboard only has 48 keys and the instrument key assignments from the soundfont goes slightly beyond my lowest C note key. I'm wondering if there is a way, in cakewalk to re-assign these drumkit parts to keys that actually exist on my keyboard. Or do I need to I mess with a soundfont editor (I think theres one called Vienna) and if so, how easy would that be.

What kind of key board do you have?Unless you have a low end keyboard there's usually a transpose/octave function that will let you acess all the available midi notes.
Do you have a manual for this key board?

Ah, yes, what a fool am I. There is an octave key that you press and hold down while pressing a plus/minus key to shift up or down an octave. I did have to play around with this since I don't have the manual, but it was easy to figure out. Thanks.
