Micro Skips And Clicks

I'm recording acoustic guitar through a mixer and a SB16 Soundcard and onto a wave program with Win 95. I'm getting these little skips and clicks and I dont know how to eliminate them. I've turned off every major appliance in the house and I am still getting them. It sounds like it is comming from inside somewhere. Is this some sort on internal surge or something? Maybe a sound overload compensation? I can only here them on the playback.

I'm not familiar with yuour particular set-up, but in general, little random pops and clicks are most often caused by clocking issues - that is, if you have two or more pieces of gear in the digital chain that are not synced to the same master clock source. The master clock can be any particular piece of gear in the chain, or an external master clock. But everything else must be slaved to the master.
