I know im going to get laughed at for this, but i bought a matched pair of the behringer c-2 small diaphram condenser mics just to play with and try to learn to record stereo things. they were 59$ for the pair so I knew they weren't that good. I have been getting a decent sound out of them for the acoustic but they don't seem to have the "hotness" that some of my other mics have. I have to set the gain up higher and it introduces some noise. does anybody have any experience with these at all? I just tried to record my guitar amp with them compared to my EV cobalt CO4 instrument mic and the Co4 won handsdown but I also need to do it with them placed at the exact same place as I kept the condesner back 4-5 inches to keep from killing it. it just didnt seam to have any higher frequencies.
Also anybody ever use the EV Co4 instrument mic. it seems to be pretty good from what I can tell for an 89$ mic.
