I did a little test on my own and decided to purchase a high quality mic. cable. Almost everything I will be doing will be one track at a time so I didn't mind paying the big buck for a top of the line cable.
Since then I have added a preamp. I was wondering if it is as critical to get another one now that I need a second cable to go from the preamp to my deck?
I know the cords from the mic or from my guitar are critical but I am not sure if it is as critical after passing through the digital vocal strip (dbx ProVocal) and I had only borrowed one when I did the test.
