How high did you have the gain set on the rhythm guitars?

About 3/4 up..

I used the "modern" setting...

presence knob was up almost full....treble knob was only 1/4 off the way up.

Bass knob halfway....Mid knob at 100%.

I used an epiphone with an emg 81....that alone is a big part of it.

The cab was on a stand.
It was mic'ed in a very large room.

Just how large of a room?

After listening to this song I realize home bad my songs are mixed and the over all sound. This song is killer and the recording/sound is great!

Yes its fully treated but at the proximity i miced the cab id assume the rooms effect on the final sound is minimal to none.

wow that's some great mixing there guys!! fantastic - guitars are ballsy and totally awesome.

The only thing i'd change is the kick sound, it'd like to hear it a bit more in the low end - it seems too high...

The snare is great, nothing wrong there - vox sound good in the mix, they sit really well.
