Messed up tempos

Whats up all? Ok, here is my problem. I use both Cool edit and Acid. The thing is when I make something in acid and then put it into Cool edit to add effects, when I put it back into Acid it runs at some ungodly tempo. I have messed with the edit tempo in Cool edit but I dont get anywhere. What am I doing wrong and what can I do? Thanks

What is really the change in the tempo?
And can't you just use Cool Edit for everything, not just the effects? It's a great working program for a lot of stuff.

im unclear as to what exactly is happening... I havent used Acid in a while.

But off the top of my head..
do the Sample rates match up?

if they do, then tell us more..

Sample rates is an important issue.
You could simply change 'em with CE.
