Martin 000M or 000X1

Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me with this dilemma. I was just accepted into the Professional Artist discount program as a clinician with Martin and have the opportunity to select a guitar from their catalog.

Not being a FULL endorsement, I'm looking to spend money practically which is what led me to focus on these models. I really like the feel and aesthetics of the Auditorium models, however have not played these particular models yet.

Before I run to some music stores I'd like to know what other guitarists think about these models. I'm rather "new" to the Martin line up so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

If the X series is still a laminated top series, I would prolly go for the M. I havent played one, but my assumption would be that the darker sounding mahogany would compliment the smaller body size nicely.

Use the search function, as I recall someone picking one of those up in the past few weeks.
