Sam Ash barely gave me any flack about matching the price. And I got Guitar Center to sell me one of the Oktava MK319 shockmounts for $29. It fits perfectly.

I don't know if someone goofed or what, but I called and they wouldn't match it at all. Wouldn't even budge. I don't live in a major market area, and don't have a Sam Ash to go into, so it was all over the phone and internet.

Pete,
You must have to go to one of the stores. They have a large sign when you first walk in the Sam Ash here that says "We will match or beat anyone elses price". Buy the black one from Mars. I'm still undecided if I like the green one, but it sounds good so it really doesn't matter.

Yeah, he gave me the "must be exact mic" line, so I told him I would just spend the $$ at Mars. I sent them an email too, hoping maybe someone would mess up and decide to match it. The green one just looks so cool...

yea...i got a great deal on my v67m as well, at mars. $110 for the mic and the shockmount. I love having friends that work there! I went back to get another the next day, and wouldn't you know it...they were all gone.
