Making my own XLR cables

I dont know about tougher but thats not that great of a price on cable man.
I buy it for 15-20 cents(or less) a foot depending on shielding/gauge and quality..... And its specificaly for patch cables.

Well here in Canada(Or at least in my town) the Shielded Cables that they sell for Patch cables is about 0.75c a Foot at the electronics store, then again all electronics components are outragously expensive were I live, there is about a 2,000% mark up on electronics components at the only electronics shop in town...Like 0.20c for a single resistor that I pay less that 0.1c for on e-bay or $4 for a single 1000uF capacitor that I pay 0.20c for on line.....

This is probably why I use the cables I do as I couldn"t afford 75c a foot....
