So you're down to lay down some tracks together when I get up to Canada right?
 
Great tune!!! it's in my chilling music folder, and i sing along when it plays:)


PS. the recording and mix is top notch and i really dig the kick sound you get outta your drums. If i had a drumset and a way to record it that would be the sound i would go for

Hey Polska, that's nice to hear, man. I personally hear lots of flaws and things I didn't quite achieve in my songs. But I guess we're our own worst critic. I really appreciate what you said, thanx.:cool:

Ah, gave up on that - my system's slow tonight & the predicted 1hr 20min put me off - SO I went to your homepage & played it there - COOL!
The vocal change realy adds a dynamic and some extyra drama.

The material reminded me of pop music from the early 90's like 311.

My sister in on that FX'ed vocal part and she thought it was a new Chris Cornel song :)

Is this the usual 4 mic system on the drums?

Are you doing anything post 2488? I don’t need a ton of detail.

Hey Manslick, how you doing???

Yes, I'm using 4 mics on the drums. And, no, I'm not doing anything post 2488 in this song. (I'm assuming you're refering to just the drums) On some tunes, I have brought my drum tracks into my PC to process, but not on this one.

EDIT: I LIED!!! I just remembered that for this tune, I passed my kik and snare(seperately) through my Focusrite pre-amp and added some compression.

I'm lucky to have inadvertently moved into a pretty good room. It's about 24 X36. Carpeted, wood panelling, and soft ceiling. I have a few bass traps/mid-high absorbers in strategic places (though with my limited knowledge, I don't know how strategic they really are).:D
