Here's our latest effort. All recorded at our homes on the Boss BR-800. It started off being about one thing but then morphed into another thing. Interested in what other artists or songs it reminds you of. Also in any suggestions or criticisms. Other than "It's too long". We know! But this one is this long and it just needed the room to breathe.

Somebody Up There's Like Me

(Verse 1)
You can hear it in my accent when I talk.
You can see it in my eyes.
I can feel a new reaction when I walk,
I just take it in my stride.

(Verse 2)
Something's coming, I can feel it everywhere.
But it's not easy to explain.
Like a bolt of lightning flashing through the air,
We will never be the same.

(Pre chorus)
These are the greener years.
I can see through your tears.
Is this how it's got to be?

(Chorus)
Now I'm flying high, flying higher than the sky,
Falling deeper than the sea.
I fell into the night from the greatest height
Somebody up there's just like me.

Verse 3)
You wait long enough the sun has got to shine,
The blackest clouds will fade away.
I've decided to take back what's rightly mine,
And make the most of every day.

(Pre chorus)
These are the cleaner years.
I can see through the fears.
This is how it's got to be.

(Instrumental)

(Chorus)
Now I'm flying high, flying higher than the sky,
Falling deeper than the sea.
I fell into the light from the greatest height
Somebody up there's just like me.

Just like me.
