I have been using an M-Audio Fastrack Ultra for about a year now with Abelton Live and love it. No problems. Now I am making the leap to Pro Tools and and am having install problems. Please advise.

I have the M-powered Pro tools version 7.4 software disc with the I-dongle. The software and I-lok were unregistered - or so I was told. It should be a simple plug and play..but I am stuck at the first step.

When I try to install the M-audio drivers on the Pro Tools disk I am prompted that my computer is not capable of running the m-audio software and to consult with the m-audio website.

The website does offer an update which I have been running in my current setup...but the pro-tools manual sez that I must use the m-audio drivers provided with the set up disk in order for the software to recognize my hardware.
Any Ideas?

If you have the update I would install that and try running it, even though the manual says it can't u said u had the update so give it a try.

Updates done....

Yep, the M-Audio site suggest using the latest drivers even though my m-powered pro tools disc has an older one - that won't install.
Digidesign suggests the patch for M-powered pro tools 7.4 - which I have also downloaded and installed. I have uninstalled everythiing...saving the latest driver versions and the patch...and then reinstalled everything load fine but when all is done pro-tools still stalls at launch.
Does anyone else have this problem? Solutions?

What's the computer, and what operating system are you running?
