Dropdown menus not working Pro Tools 2023.6

I just installed Pro Tools (Free Trial) 2023.6 on to a Macbook Pro 16 inch 2019, running OS Catalina 10.15.1. When I click on an insert it opens the corresponding dropdown menu but the options listed won't highlight as my cursor hovers over them. This then means I am unable to select anything. The same thing happens with dropdown menus in Sends and within the Preferences menu as well. I have googled the problem but can't find anything.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or know of a solution?

Hi,
According to Avid that version, 2023.6 requires Catalina 10.15.7, minimum.
There's probably quite a few OS bug fixes between .1 and .7 too so it'd probably do no harm to upgrade anyway. (y)
