OK, I found some cool loops but they were not made correctly, there is a gap at the end of each one makes it sound like the file stops and starts again, rather than one continuous beats. Does anyone know how to fix this, I am using Acid 3.0 btw.

All you need is an audio editor, like Sound Forge or Goldwave.

Sound Forge XP should have come bundled with ACID 3. It is the better choice because it has specific tools for "acidizing" loops (not just chopping them to the right length, but giving them root note identity and so forth).

If you don't have SF, you can use Goldwave or any other 2 track (stereo) editor to chop them up so they are the right length.

Hope this helps.

Another way you can make the file loop without using another program is to select the "loop tool" (between the record and play buttons) and adjust its length over the segment you want to loops file until the file loops correctly.

Then RENDER the file with a new name as a wav and TA-DA! Instant loop!

You may need to adjust the bpm before you find the magic loop point.

A couple more tips... When you render any file to save it as a loop remember to:

1.) Set the correct bpm

2.) Adjust the volume to 0db (or higher)

3.) Set the project KEY to NONE (for drums)

Then preview the new loop in ACID. It should show up as a loop automatically. If it doesn't, try changing its properties from BEATMAPPED to LOOP. If it doesn't play back right or it shows up as "beatmapped, " you probably need to adjust your loop points slightly. Keep at it. It does work.

I used sound forge and fixed the loops...It was so easy that I can't believe I didn't think of it!

Thanks!
