Lax Cl2000 and Spectrasonics 610

So I'm trying to find some information on these compressors and it seems to be pretty much impossible. I'm hoping someone on here might know something about them or where I could find some info about them? Basically I'm just trying to find out what they sound good on and whether they're discrete and/or tube. Any help would be appreciated.

No one knows anything about these things? No wonder there's not a hint of decent info on the web.
 
Well some compressors are Discrete and some Tube but most Modern compressors use a combination of Discrete and IC based curcuits....

There are also IC"s that are specificly use as Compressors ,They are Called "VCA"s", you can also build a VCA from discrete Parts and IC"s and probably even tubes......

Compressors sound great on all sorts of things, Like Drums sound great compressed and guitars and Bass and even some Vocals can use compression....

I have never really used many Hardware compressors as the Software Ones I have are pretty good....I am going to build a Small VCA Module and possibly add it to the Guitar amp I just built or even into the 2ch Mic pre-amp I just built or both if it sounds good........

Thanks, but when I said "these compressors" I mean the ones specifically in the title of this thread.
