Short-cut to kick heaven

Straight to the point Mark 7. lol. Yeah, the choices for kick mics is overwhelming, because alot of vocal mics AND snare mics also work well for the kick, and vice versa. I guess I can deal with the D112 for awhile, I mean, a kick is a kick, not vocals. Thats what I tell myself all day long by the way. Anyway I just descovered "gating" today on the kick and snare, and found it effective. Much more punch in the snare, that's for sure. And all this time I thought it was just EQ and compression.
