That Norwegian Bastard
I now own a Yamaha mm6, and I`m quite satisfied with it.
It has quite good organ sounds, nice rhodes sound, and most important it has a mellotron:D

The mellotron of the mm6 sounds a tad worse than most of the vst`s I`ve tried but it gets the job done.

But being that I can only use one synth at the time, and that I want better sounds especially in the organ department.
I felt the need for an upgrade or change if you like.

So the first candidate was the Korg X-50, nice organ sounds easily portable but no Mellotron:mad:

Then I got a nice deal on a Korg tr 61.
and it has a sampleing function- sd-card slot of some sorts.
I simply love the build of this keyboard the keys seems more tight and balanced than the other two, and its a bit more heavy and stabile.

But I`m wondering about how this Sd-card function will work, will I be able to load up some nice mellotron sounds, or is it only boring korg ethinc beats and shit like that.

I dont care shit for todays sounds, Dont use horn sections , guitar patches or beats.

Only Piano, rhodes, Hammond, Mellotron and the occasional moogish 1 tone monophonic style. (wich the yamaha does not have)

Any advices on the korg concerning the SD-card usage.

I am tempted just stickin by the MM6, as its easy to program and quite nice sounding:)

If you get YR61 you will need the additional RAM for sampling. Also original specs say Korg can hold 1GB SD card. I am using 2 GB SD card with great success! :)
