Keyboard and synth, connect via MIDI

As a MIDI newbee, I have some simple questions about the midi connection.

I have a Roland GW8e workstation. I want to load a couple of presets at the same time for the GW8e and my Roland XP-10. The reason I want to do this, is to simplify the way of setting the right presets on stage. I am playing in a coverband, and our setlist is changed constantly during live performance.

Is there anyone at this forum who can help met with my synth/keyboard setup?

If you use a sequencer or a computer on stage, you can send the appropriate Program Change message to each synth at the same time. Be sure to put the synths on different MIDI channels, else you'll send the same Program Change number to all the devices.
 
It occurs to me that there is probably some kind of pedal board on the market that you can program the patches for all your songs into and change them on the fly.
