This actually isn't a hard fix. Here is what you do.
Open up the casing of the unit. You want to cut the casing off the red and black ones. Now take the exposed wires and wrap them up real tight together. Solder them if you would like. Now take the main chip in the unit and take it out. Now force it back into position, only backwards. Now put the casing back together and fire it up. If nothing happens to the unit or you, take a hammer and smash away.
