Just Got Two New Mics

I just purchased two Rode K2 mics, each came with 10meters of cable between mics and power supplies.
I only need 2 meters for each mic.
Would there be any advantage having them reduced to 2 meters.

Somincally? No. If you have a space, or transportation problem, cut 'em and re-solder the ends.

you mean buying new cables? or cutting the cables?

i would recommend purchasing cables at the desired length.

the rule of thumb is the shorter the better. longer cables lose signal. but the length in question isn't of concern.

Thanks crosstudio. It was the length, thought I would get better signal with shorter cable.
