I've had mine since july and although the manual looks intimidating; the machine is user friendly. Most times than not. when you think there is a problem with the unit it is usually the operator. One tip that I think might help is that if you are changing any settings make sure that you return to the "Normal screen" after any editing. If you use "all on" in any of the editing functions be sure to go back in there and turn it off because any marks you add will not be of any use untill you do. Digital scrubbing is a wonderful thing, any noise generated from your outrigging can be erased up to the exact point at which the instrument starts. Do this for each track and there will be abso;ute quiet untill the song begins.Something that is'nt in the manual that I do is while bouncing use autopunch. Find the mix you like and save it,find the spot you want to change(volume,E.Q., effects, pan) using digital scrub but do not change the master volume! bring up the autopunch screen (shift and autopunch) and mark punch in, just set the punch out point at a point beyond the song. The scene sequence function only changes the volumes, no other functions are affected.
I hope this helps a bit. Let me know.
