Obscure Strat Parts?

I own a Japanese made Contemporary Strat--1986(?) two single coil pickups, one humbucker at the bridge, one tone, one volume.

It's an uncommon style (especially because it only has the one tone knob), and I've been looking for parts, particularly a pickguard. It's difficult to find anything on it at all.

Anyone know of a place to look?

If you're looking for a pickguard, you'll have to have one custom made. There are alot of people out there doing that now, and they are pretty good.

To pump up a homereccer....Gvarko makes very very nice wood pickguards that are the same price as having plastic ones made..less in alot of cases. He will custom make them out of almost anything. Give him a shout and ask him about them.

Hey thanks, those look really nice.

I kind of figured I might need to go custom. I wish I had access to my 7th grade plastic workshop, it'd be an easy project.

I love the guitar, by the way. The earliest Japanese Strats were made really well. I tried a new one up recently and it just didn't feel the same.
