Beeellieeeevvveee me....

There are some people out there that would do the stupidest things out there with there computer.... then take it back and ask why it doesnt work anymore... heh.

I had one incident where a someone brought a bored to me for a warranty claim... says it doesnt work... easy enough... before I took it back, I had to test it while he watched.

popped a cpu in it, popped a stick of ram in it, plugged in a Vid Card and power supply, used my screwdriver to short the power switch leads... power goes in and smoke starts to come out of the board!... I was like WTF?!?.. closer examiniation showed its coming from the BIOS chip....

Yet, an even closer look showed that the god damn thing was plugged in backwards!... Okay, he brought the stupid thing back once before because he couldn't get it to turn on... I've tested that very same mobo a week before that date and it worked... The moron took the bios chip out and replaced it backwards!..

umm.. right..

Oh, I have 1000's of stories of computer stupidty... but anyways..

Yeah, athlons has got to be cooled quite well.. not to mention their finicky with cheap power suppplies... But still, I think AMD should rethink their design... if a processor can't run properly if its not supercooled.. then thats a serious design flaw.

I can't deny, had not been for AMD, there would have not been the huge advances both companies have made.

anyhow..doorbell.. gotta run.

Although this is a site for home recording enthusiasts, there are a few "professionals" lurking around quite often. Their advice is usually quite helpful, and we value them a great deal. If you want some of their advice, then all you have to do is create a female username. Make it something cute like "Bunnygirl" or "Daisy." Nothing obvious like "hot teen cutie." They'll see through that.

They'll trip over themselves to answer every dumb question you can throw at them.

Good luck!

lmmfao, honestly i was thinkin' about doing the same thing Chessrock. Maybe i should call my name Lovely Queen, i know for a fact i'll get over 15 replies then. :):):):)

Lovely Queen will be joinin' this forum soon, you will catch her at other recording foums also.....be patient, she's comin' soon. :)

no more making fun of my name

Hey Chessrock! I resent the below comment! I AM really a girl AND I love bunnies. Hence, the name, BUNNYGIRL. Can I help it if most of the guys on this board are gentlemen? I resent the insinuation that I have used my cute bunnygirl looks to get answers to my questions. Ok, maybe my husky and alternatively cute vocals have something to do with it.... but that's besides the point... Here's the truth: If you want a smart answer to your question, ask a smart question! Have a nice day sir and happy recording!

-with reverence, your very own dear BUNNYGIRL (only one in the world and that's me!)

*ain't no dumb bunnies round here*

:)

Funny how much smarter these questions seem when a girl with a cute name asks them :)

That's okay, though. I have this really cute female friend who drives like a maniac, and she claims she's never actually gotten a traffic ticket by a male cop. And I believe her. It's just human nature, I guess. We all treat each other like crap sometimes, but at least our mamas taught us to respect ladies. :)

You think that's bad Wildfire listen to this: I am terrible with product A and realize a week or so later than I should've bought product B instead (which is usually something totally different than product A but still related to music). And being a poor college student doesn't help either. Now I am trying to sell a bunch of stuff I don't need to help pay for then parts for my DAW which at this point is ironically still in the research phase (I've got lots of things printed out as well). I won't go through all my stupid financial decisions I've made just b/c it's embarrassing but believe me I know my problem and I'm working on it, one step at a time. Ugh I need a job!

Knew I should've editted my post a little more. Let me correct it:

>>I am terrible with product A and realize a week or so later than I should've bought product B instead (which is usually something totally different than product A but still related to music).<<

Should read something like this: I am terrible with money, I buy product A...

or if you really wanna get them in look up the 2k+ members of the forum and match your city with their city and have a cute name like bunnygirl, guaranteed to get the forum on flame.

That shouldn't be too tough. We got so many damn southerners on this board. :)
