Is there a multi processor with Just Effects?

It seems like every processor has amp/cab simulators.

I have a great amp, I just want to have something with the effects all in 1 without the amp/cab thing.

If there is, I'm fairly certain it won't be any cheaper than those with amp/cab sims. I'd say just turn them off.

There's plenty of them. I guess it comes down to which you effects you want.

I picked up a Boss ME-50 (which does not have amp sims) in part for that reason, in part because it has knobs that function like Boss pedals and in part becuase it is built like a tank (like most Boss pedals) and can take whatever abuse I put it through.

I hate scrolling through a dozen windows to get to the parameters I want to tweak - with the ME50 almost every function can be accessed by the knobs and tweaked in real time.

It seems some people love the ME50 and some hate it. For me, it was just what I was looking for.

I bought the ME-50 a month ago and I really like it. I bought it used for a bit over $200 or so. As Mikeh said some people like it, others hate it. To me all of the effects are decent enough, even the wah is okay. The only thing I've noticed recently is that there is some background noise and I swear that even after I've turned off the echo effect I still hear it. Maybe that's just me.

The Boss is nice but has a pretty big footprint, The TC leaves your sound alone a little better

How would this compare to a V-amp 2? I tried using the V-amp 2 through my tube amp and it not only killed the sound, but lowered the volume.

BOSS ME-50 users~ Just curious what kind of amp you are using with the ME-50, if you're in a parallel effects loop?

How is it on noise, and does it slaughter tone?

I was very close to buying one, but instead opted for single FX pedals because I had read that individual pedals spared your tone more when used sparingly....

The TC is considerably more expensive also, isn't it?

If your talking brand new, no there is not much difference. I would consider the TC G-major before the other one listed here. The G-major has no limitations as far as how many effect you can use at one time. The other one i believe you can only blend 2 effect at a time as it only has two seperate processors built into it(if any of that matters to you).

The Boss ME-50's biggest downfall is.....there is a huge delay between switching preset patchs. If your your playing live, i would highly suggest passing on it. Imaging changing patches during a song and having a pause in your sound.

The G-major is $399, the boss is like $299. The G-major will not alter your tone at all. I have one and it works beutifully. well worth the $100 difference, not to mention the G-majors quality is unblievably profesional compared to the boss(which is still good).

peace

Look in the 2nd hand land.
I have a Yamaha FX500 that has only effects - Rev, Mod, Dist, Comp & EQ. It's a late 80's thing pre the technology for sims. They can be had quite cheaply now MIND YOU the preset distortions are pathetic.
