Irig plugged to mixer = A lot of feedback and lower volume, why!!!

Sup, Bought an ipad and decided to buy a cheap Irig adaptor on Ebay.

I tried it on my mixer with headphones, and sound coming from it is really low (heaphones jack of the irig using an 1/4 adapter and going to the mixer., it's normal when I plug the 3.5 jack into my headphones.

Why is that??, I'm pretty sure Amplitube or JamUp have very good sounds, just need to fix this to purchase them.

What make/model mixer? What input on the mixer?

Are adapting the STEREO headphone to MONO 1/4" wiht a stereo-to-mono adapter? If not, you're only getting 1/2 the signal into your mixer.

Or he's going from 1/8" stereo to 1/4" balanced and only getting the difference signal. But we need details to know what's really happening.
