Salutations,
I am a long time musician have spent a lot of time in Pro studios. However I am now ready to build my own at home and need some advice. Here is what I want to do. (If I am vague please ask for some specifics and I will respond.)
I wish have a 32 track digital setup with basic out gear and decent mikes. I will be recording Guitar, vocals, keys, drums, bass, etc.
I also would like to produce my own cd's from home. I own my own home and live in the mountains. Soundproofing for external and internal is not a major concern. Not to many neibors or traffic planes. etc. I have a ood sized room to use for recording as well. So here is my question. What is a good "ball park" figure for a setup as I described. I want new equipment and something that will not be out of date uin six months. Also user friendly is a big plus. Thats it for now.Like I said if you need more specifice feel free to ask. Thanks for this forum! DWDRX
