Just to be clear, I have worked in professional studios as a producer for myself and others for years. I am new to home recording with my own gear. Newbie with history.

That sounds like the opening line at a doctors office.

From pro to home recordings the difference is usually the time that it takes to finish a project.
You can work every day for two months on just one song if you so desire, for your on only your clock and there is no presser to make harsh judgments and fast calls to get your tracks done.

Yep. I like to boss myself around too. I definitely have more respect for engineers now. Not that I didn't before but it sure takes patience.

I know I have permanent holes in my tongue from biting my tongue while working with some clients!

Being polite, cheerful and a pleasure to work with has it's toll. Some people are just clueless and would still be even if you where to sit down and try to explain every little aspect of how the journey must happen to get to the end and having a great finished project.

Really? What do you mean? That I should go to a forum that I happen to have an expertise, and start calling everybody a "newb" because I am bored to answer the same questions? No, thanks. That's not how it works. I want to help? I have a friendly attitude, and answer to someone as good as I can. If I get tired of answering the same things, I will not bother to answer. No, telling me I am a newb, and that I am acting like it's the end of the world (Which I have no idea where you it got from) is not better than not answering at all. Just move on.

I try to be balanced and aim for understanding. I was trying to address a few issues and head off a potential bout of bad feeling. I may or may not have failed, either way, Je regrette rien.
