I happen to be selling my house, which has a pretty nice home studio built in a detatched garage. I'd imagine that this would be the board where i might find someone interested in a unique property like the one I'm selling.

It's located in West Hills, CA (LA Valley)

Pictures & Complete Details are availible at http://www.vanowen.net/

feel free to contact me with any questions about the house, or recording studio.

Cheers!
Patrick

Yeah, I'll get back to you as soon as I win the Powerball. :D

Nice place, though! Good luck.

Sweet place - even worth moving to the Valley for - if I had the bucks....

.....wish I did - will keep an ear out for you, though - ya never know....I'm in Culver City, BTW.....

It's actually also a sweet deal just for a house in that area - even minus the studio space......L.A. real estate is not for the faint of heart....

$400 PSF price in Cali!

Jeez, I guess we're spoiled with our real estate here in Texas.

No disrespect to your home Patrick....it's very nice and the studio looks great.

But $400 per sq. ft. selling price? Heck, 4000 sq ft homes that are a 20 minute rush hour commute from major business centers in Houston sell in the $100-$120 per sq. ft. range.

Location, location, location.

Sure the price is good, but look around.......you're in Texas.....  :p

how far away from the nearest surfing beach is that?

Or you could move to Indy and buy this place, have a hundred grand left to build a studio, and you could come over and play my Carvin!

In the town I live $80,00 can get you a nice home that size. plus a guest house seperate from the house that can be converted to a nice studio.
plus thats a little shower, a little kitchen a little pool. bed room looks like an apartment bedroom. I mean does it come witht he eqipment and the dog? :)

Phew, man I hope you've got a good reason to leave that place behind. It looks sweet! Cool doggie too, mine makes that same expression when I catch him doing something bad. :D

Hey, I used to live near that house!

Nice house, nice studio, but $640K is frickin' insane!

Back in the early 70's, (when I lived on Woodlake Ave. w/my dad), that was a $40K house, max. Things sure have changed since then! Y'know, I don't wanna go all political on'ya, but the outrageous price of housing in LA county is a direct result of the illegal immigration problem!

Good luck!

Thanx!

do u sell ur dogy 2 :P

I love it when people scoff at the prices of homes in Southern California. I saw the ad and said... hmm not a bad price. I'd actually be interested in the place if it was down here in SD.

For the past month it's been 72 and sunny everyday in San Diego. That's why the prices are so high. That and the fact that every other person that moves here is from Chicago... and they never go back.

Nice studio though!

The detached garage/studio is on an alleyway,... if it's anything to'ya.

I'm not saying that's necessarily good or bad, but it's a security concern.

Having actually lived in that neighborhood, I'll personally vouch that it's a nice, clean little neighborhood. I used to roam the streets at night there as a young teen with my friends, and we were the baddest thing on the block! (reads: not bad) ;)
