i posted a couple months ago when i first recorded it and have now learned alot about mixing and such. this is super compressed like most metal recordings
let me know what you think of it please! (both the recording and the song itself)
just a warning, it is pretty heavy stuff (and dont turn up your speakers when the intro is too quiet as it is made that way)
thanks!

This is great! I enjoy listening to it! Pretty impressive stuff dude, i can't really provide advice at this point, in fact, can you tell me how you did the vocals? like how did you record them and mix them in your DAW?

Well thank you!

Vocal chain was as follows...

Homemade pop filter > cheap Apex 410 LDC > DMP3 preamp > Delta 44 soundcard > Reaper > HPF/slight EQ > slight reverb > Waves compressor plugin

quite interesting...
+1 to you sir :)

Sounds pretty solid.

The drums could possibly come up a little. They're audible, but I don't feel like they're really driving anything.

There was a weird fuzz noise right at the beginning of the song.

Otherwise, it was loud and brutal. Nice work.

FIRST RECORDING?!?!?! That sounds really great! The only thing I'd advise is to add some bass to the final mix.

Cool..bring out the drums more and round out the bass. It's awesome for a 1st metal recording.

thanks for the feedback! i am taking care of some of those suggestions right now!

If that were your 20th recording, it would be great. I'm not much for the hard core metal vibe, but I thought that was well done. I like how the two guitars performed a full frontal assault, yet stayed safely in the mix - brutal, face-melting distortion, yet, I could understand what they were saying - Sweet!

Please tell me how you got your final levels to go nuclear like that - you melted my headphones! I liked that.
