Hello, I am a professional illustrator who is poised for greatness in the future. I always have an eye open on future plans and music is also an area that I seek to expand into. I am also a musician so I am asking all the Home recordist's that I can think of to send me their suggestions on how to build the perfect dream Home studio. I need your advice and your imagination. If you were to suddenly come upon say, ten million dollars, and wanted to build the PERFECT recording studio what would be included? What equipment is an absolute must have when cost is no consideration? What musical equipment would you need for perfection? Do you have any links to manufacturers and suppliers? Are there any things that I should know about the setting for the studio itself? Wall designs and the form of the structure? What about the environment itself such as ways to make it artist friendly? Are there any nightmares that you have encountered or shoddy equipment manufacturers that should be avoided? I am looking for the most PERFECT STUDIO you can imagine with full digital capabilities. I look forward to hearing your list of suggestions, email me, and thank you for all that you can offer! Ken D. Webber / Artist

What roadside rest area did you crawl out of you enthusiastic rimjobber of homeless men?

How many reakin times are you gonna post this damn question. Give me a 10k and I'll tell you what you'd need.

Money is no problem? Um, okay. Just look at what they have at Abbey Road, Electric Lady Land, the Caribou Ranch or call Tom Scholz from Boston. As for the rest of us, we all struggle with reality on this page precisely because money is a problem and we want the most bang for the buck.

Peace, Jim

I'd take about 10k of that and put together a decent studio-one that future work would pay for the upgrades. then i'd take the rest and save the whales or feed homeless something like that.....i spend each paycheck i get on gear, rent, or.......gear!!
If this person has to ask what to get, you know whatever he buys will not be appreciated. lack of passion just doing it cuz he can i will go puke now

He hasn't been back in weeks. If people keep responding to the message, it will keep coming back like a bad penny. Just let it die...

It's funny, isn't it Ken? You ask a question about music and some people respond with detailed descriptions their sexual preferences.

What are you??? The "Smithers" to KEN D. WEBBER's "Mr Burns"?

Or ARE you HIM????
Could we actually get multiple posts from TWO different people who are equally pathetic?

I'm sorry. I must be in the wrong forum. I didn't realize it was for white middle class men only.

ill have you know , S8-N is no where near white middle class... he's the poster child for white trash... :)

I'm not entirely white either..
Hixmix: you have proven that you cant verbally defend yourself with any effectiveness, so I wont waste any more of my time bullying you...
KEN D. WEBBER would have done a better job...

S8-N...you are a bacon grease brained tar sniffer!

hixmix???? what da fuck is that? A hick that wants to mix? get the fuck out of here.

You always go for the bait, don't you, you dumb slime breathing swamp fish.

So, the perfect studio, even with $10 million, is built with insults. And all this time I have been seeking advice on equipment. Silly me. To Ken D Webber--obviously a bad question (too vague and somewhat braggish) and too often (one or two posts would have been sufficient). To any newbies--beware: asking a (to some older members) stupid question--you may have your sexuality slammed or questioned, but I'm not sure if you will get a quality anwer about anything dealing with recording advice. Pity. Hey Dragon, I hope your not too disappointed in members treating each other so badly.

Try some peace folks. And Ken D. Webber, ask more specific questions and I'll answer as best as I can. But your original post will cost you some bucks.

Peace all, Jim

Rule number one: Do not defend Ken.

If Ken was man enough, he would come back and defend himself. Ken is no longer a real person in this BBS. He is more like a dart board we all like to take shots at. Our responses to his posts shows how much we respect the little guy with a home studio. If Ken had posted ONCE, say in the Dragon's Cave, such a question without the arrogance. he may have recieved a better response from the members here.

So if you are a new member and know little about this site and its members, do not defend Ken, or you just might get hit by a dart.

Yes I have to say it: I am a newbie.

But at no point could I standup for anyone with no humility what-so-ever.

The one thing this whole joke of a post has done is to push a button and really get all of us going.

Talk about mind control!!!
