"however, i don't in anyway take back my comment on r.e. being wrong."
What am I wrong about? Wrong about giving my opinion? Are you mad at Harvey Gerst for giving his opinion for other's benefit too? You think people from r.a.p. who are very well respected in the recording industry have to participate there?
"granted, i could have used more tact in the way i stated it, but it was a rather provocative thread for him to begin. he was gloating, and i was attempting to call him on it."
Man, you were down-right disrespectful. Had you come here, disagreed with me, and presented your reasons why, you'd have a lot more respect from myself and everyone else. Man you might even make a friend or two here, but your disrepectful attitude from the beginning, in your very first post, is not a way to make friends or associates.
And I was gloating? Gloating? Anyone one else feel I've been gloating? And even if I was, you sure aren't looking any better by being disrespectful.
"anyway, i will continue to defend the c3000 as a great mic. in fact, looking for info on
another mic i was interested in today, i came across reviews of the c3000 in two major
industry magazines which found absolutly no glaring deficiencies in it, and were in fact
quite complimentary....mix magazine actually mentioned that
the c3000b was more reminiscent of a 414 than the original c3000...i guess that reviewer was talking out his ass too."
I wouldn't know, but I can guarantee that there was money involved.
"its funny, i've never seen an sm-57 on a "real" studio's mic list."
HAHAHA!!! This says a lot. You forgot the word "NOT" in the phrase... Anyone care to list off all the "real" studios who use an SM57 on damn near every tracking seesion? Good luck, though, because I'd be surprised to find any "real" studio in the world that doesn't.
HAHAHA!!!
