I dont know what happened. I was unplugging and moving some gear around and when I hooked everything back up the RNP was dead. I think I smell a faint burn smell coming out of the outputs.
When I hook up the RNC's power supply to the RNP the leds blink repeately. Other 12 volt power supplies dont do anything at all. It just sits there dead. I wonder what happened.

Yep, you may have left the smoke out of some of the components. That's what makes all electronic components work.. they're full of smoke. And when you let the smoke out, they don't work anymore.:D

Keep us posted on how they treat you reguarding service on your unit...I hear its pretty good.

My RNP died when I first got it (similiar problem), sometime last Winter. I called FMR Audio and Mark McQuilken was very pleasant to deal with on the phone and got an RNP to me out next day via 2 or 3 day UPS shipping. And even included a label to ship the broken one back.

Now, that's service! :) (Also props to Humbucker Jake who made sure everything went alright, since I had gotten it from him.)

Well, it's supposed to do THAT. It tells you that the psu is underpowered to use on the RNP. And the RNC psu is.

Now call McQ.

McQ will take care of you.

Avoid that fucking putz Jake at humbucker at all costs, he is a know it all moron that will butt into your business and make it all his own and even try to bill you on other companies behalf. He is THAT stupid. If you wanna know more, I'll gladly tell. But I will never sing praises his way, and for good reason. Go to Mercenary or 8thstreet if you need REAL service.

Ok I talked to MC'Q..... spectacular service. A new RNP is will be here tomorrow. Cant ask for anything better than that.

That is good service... did he happen to say what he thought might of caused the problem?

He sends them out next day air (you'll have the replacement the next damn day) and he includes a shipping lable to return the other one free. He's a badass at customer service. Jake at Humbucker, on the other hand, is not.
McQ pretty cool dude, too. Looking forward to the EQ.

now he needs to start taking orders for custom consoles...the 2 bus would probably be SICK cuz of all the head room assuming its at least as good as the rnps headroom....

I'm sorry you say that. I've had nothing but good experiences with Jake with the few purchases I've made from him and his customer service.

So I can't side with you.

And I've bought from Mercenary and 8th Street too. I've never dealt with 8th Street customer service, but I've emailed Fletcher once or twice for gear opinions.

Just my 2 cents.
