Crawdad,

This is sweet. Beautiful guitar work, vocals... nicely recorded, too. And you sound like you MEAN IT too. Excellent, excellent stuff.

Where in Detroit are you? I'm about an hour north of town. I got a couple of tunes you would sound GREAT on - and my voice is, well, it's getting better (lessons), but stilll pretty awful (for the HR challenge, I had the girl sing one).

Anyhow, this was so good. Great end to my day...

Emmett - halfway between Lapeer and Port Huron. But I work in lansing (for now), and go to school in Livonia. I'm just a driving fool.

Used to play around Pontiac way back in the day - had a mixer stolen at the club that used to be in the Tel-Huron strip...

man, I had to dig this up from the third page, things move awefully fast around here.

Slide guitar sounds perfect raw. It terrifies me to imagine what a plugin could do to that track.

Great song, great recording.

damn Dad, I like you naked! I believe the word "intimate" was used earlier, and you've really hit the mark on this one. A lot of the charm of this one comes from Sluices imagery of sittin around the campfire. Absolutely perfect. Slide sounds gorgeous. Yeah I heard a few mistakes. Who cares? I'm sure you know where they are.

I downloaded this a while ago, so apologies for not responding sooner.

It's a beautiful wee piece of music. Gentle, warm, understated playing and a very strong vocal. Good song too.

I really like this, and it's probably my favourite of yours that I've heard. Very nice.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Eric Bogle? He's a Scottish folk singer/songwriter, now based in Australia, and this song reminded me a bit of him.

Look out for his early stuff if you get a chance - I think you'd like his songwriting. He wrote "Greed Fields of France" which you might have heard.
