First off, I love you all, and hope everyone has a great time with this, and that nobody gets seriously injured! I was flyfishing out in northern Maine this weekend and kept thinking about all the interesting music that should come out of this challenge. Please remember my idea for this is to open up channels for fresh and interesting music to come through in ways that maybe we hadn't yet imagined. It's about the music, and about bringing people from all over the world together to make that music. If you approach this as a contest you will likely miss all the best qualities of this challenge. Keep an open mind, and you never know what great musical moments you might find.

I have 52 participants listed (we could make HRC4 playing cards!) and they have all been matched. If your name does not appear on the list it is because I don't like you. Or it's because it was unclear whether you were in or out. Or I just missed it.

If your name is not on this list for whatever reason or if, due to some schoolboyish flame war you've got going on, you can not work with your drawn partner, please send me a Private Message and I'll try and reassign you with anyone else who may need re-matching. If I do a thread search and find no reason for your change other than you want to be Lt. Bob's partner or B. Sabbath's bitch, then I'll just drop you from the list, like so much spoiled meat.

You have until midnight Friday (the 13th) to contact your partner and confirm your commitment. If after this deadline you have attempted unsuccessfully to contact your partner, please send me a PM and we'll arrange a new match. All changes will be made by midnight next Monday (June 16). After that you're shit outa luck. I don't want anyone to be left hanging who is trying to make this thing work.

Sorry guys, but all that "finger-pointing" was really taking the fun out of this for me. I can only read it so much before... well this I guess. I like to joke as much as the next guy, but I don't like being mistrusted, even over a silly challenge. The rigged comments were many and few of them for whatever reason, read like jokes to me, no "smilies" no nothing. I'm working hard on making this thing work smoothly, and to have to read that stuff every other post is frustrating.. Maybe it's the pressure of trying to get everybody having fun together. I just don't want to spoil it for anyone because they think I'm rigging my own challenge, as dumb and pointless as that would be.


I haven't heard from Pete, so Al if you'll still have me we can keep this thing true to the odds and the spirit of experimentation...

It really hurts to say this, but I'm afraid I have to tell you guys I'm out. Mind you: it's not personal Dim, I would have loved to make some nice and nutty music with you. :)

I really don't want to make a big drama out of this, but I do like to inform you on this instead of 'suddenly disappearing'....

The deal is: I've got some serious personal issues to solve, and that means I won't be on the board for at least a couple of weeks. At the moment I don't feel like explaining it right here 'out in the open', but anyone whom I consider a friend (you know who you are) can always mail me and ask. (you can also mail me if you're not satisfied with a certain basspart or something like that - nudge nudge ;) wink ;) wink, Tom - I'll retrack it when I can....there's nothing wrong with my fingers you see?) ;)

Thanks for everything guys, I hope to be back in a couple of weeks....hopefully in perfect health and sanity.... :)

I will surely miss the nuttiest and most inflammable family in the world. I've learned a lot...both musical and personal. :D

Pedullist, I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't had much time myself lately, but I'll give that bass part a listen tonight...I'm sure it's just wonderful.
