Hello,
I have an instrumental backing track and I'm just trying to add vocals to it. I imported the backing track, I recorded the vocals and everything worked fine, but I think Cubase takes some instants to register what I just recorded, so when I listen to it the vocals come to late and don't sync with the backing track. I tried to edit it, but apparently Cubase just allows me to cut a whole bar, what makes the vocals come to early. What should I do to sync it? I'm using Scarlet Studio (Focusrite) and Cubase LE 6.

Regards
Julia

I don't know much about Cubase but turn off the Snap or Snap To Grid function and you'll be able to adjust the vocals as much or as little as you choose.

Mr. Clean is right, if you are looking to compensate for latency. It might end up where you need to adjust quantization, but only Cubase Artist and up have this ability using free warp.

Hi Julia!
Never had this kind of problem with Cubase, but you can check if you are using right drivers. Go to Devices->Device setup->VST Audio System and select on the first dropdown menu Scarlett usb or whatever the driver is called.

To disable snap search for a button that looks like this: >|<
