How can this mic be so cheap?

This is just stupid. No other place is selling these mics that low. I'm pretty pissed. I'm gonna buy all of them, and sell them on ebay for $400 a piece. This must be a damn misprint (or mistype, rather.)

These have been on sale lately from everywhere..zzounds, americanmusical..try searching for 'AM52' or just 'Alesis'..they're the Alesis mics..AMS was clearing them out a few months ago, and it was posted her

Alesis and Groove tube split

The merger between Alesis and Groove tube is over and the companies have parted way.

These mics are the left over of the two companies research.

I did not follow the link above but these were getting sold for around 160 bucks by the big discount houses.

Alesis has actually landed back on thier feet financially and have started a rebound. Thier parts and repair department is back open now. You can once again get parts for adats, and the other alesis products.

I was tempted when I saw that price but I have my heart set on another mic.A friend of mine has one he paid big bucks for and he likes it very much.When they first started blowing them out AMS had all the Groove Tube mics and they were selling their tube mics as low as $300,quite a cut from what they were selling for.

Darth, I'm in the same boat. I bought mine for a little over $500 a few years ago. When I saw the sale price a month ago I almost cried. I might pick up a second one.
